4.1. Methodological overview

At the end of the course Periodontology I the student will be able to identify the different types of periodontal disease, doing the diagnosis and the prognosis of the periodontal disease. To plan apropriate treatment and to carry out the basic peridontal treatment.  To know when the patient has to be referred to specialist.

4.2. Learning tasks

The programmed learning activities in this course are:

  Master class

  Collaborative works

  To present, by the students, theirs works in the classroom

  Clinical case studies

  Preclinical practices

  Clinical discussion forum on the web

 

4.3. Syllabus

The theoretical program has 12 sessions inthe classroom and the practical program has 8 practical hands-on sessions in  similar realistic works situations in the preclinical laboratory
